Nils Brauckmann
President and General Manager , SuSE ( Germany)
As President and General Manager of the SUSE business unit, Nils Brauckmann is responsible for leading the organization’s continued development and distribution of the industry’s first Linux operating system. He manages development, sales, marketing, technical support, pre-sales consulting and consulting services for the SUSE brand.
Brauckmann has over 20 years of experience in the IT industry, serving in cross-functional and international management positions. He first joined WRQ in 1994 (acquired by Attachmate in 2004) and has held various management roles across Attachmate sales, marketing and support organizations in EMEA. Other previous companies he worked for include Novell and Siemens Nixdorf, where he started his technology career. Brauckmann has considerable leadership experience in due diligence and integration processes associated with mergers and acquisitions.
Brauckmann holds a diploma in Safety Engineering from the University of Wupertal in Germany.
