Call for Participation: Humanitarian Free/Open Source Software and Crisis Management summit.

- Deadline: August 31

We will have a half day of presentations, and summits on the use of Open Source software in crises during the Open World Forum this year. We want to explore the humanitarian uses of free and open source software and Open Data, including but not limited to experiences with Sahana, Ushahidi, OpenStreetMap and CrisisCommons.

What interests us more than anything is inspiring stories of how the use of communities and technology can transform society and save lives.

Please send your proposals, with contact details and a description of the session you would like to run, to think-fossforsociety@openworldforum.org, before June 30th.

Dave Neary, Summit chair, Humanitarian Free/Open Source Software and Crisis Management Summit.

Final date for submission: August 31, 2011
