Call for presenters – Open Source for Industrial Users Summit at OWF 2011

- Deadline: August 31

During the Open World Forum, we are organizing a track dedicated to sharing experience between industrial users that want to leverage Open Source for the design and development of their products. This summit is part of the more general “Think” theme.

During this decade, Industrial users are adopting Open Source to enable better collaboration and as an opportunity to focus the software ecosystem on their specific needs. As such, they are building a new type of OSS organizations: Open Source user foundations.

The Open Source for Industrial Users Summit is the opportunity for you to share your vision or your experience with other industrial users and leaders of such OSS initiatives.

Here is a (non-exhaustive) list of topics we would like to cover:

  • Business Models and Governance for User Centric FLOS ecosystems
  • Return of Experience of existing initiatives
  • Positioning talk to address a new Industry Domain
  • Positioning of existing OSS consortium regarding to Industrial User needs.

Here is a (non-exhaustive) list of domains we would like to cover:

  • Aeronautic and aerospace
  • Automotive
  • Energy
  • Railway
  • Telecomunication
  • Bio-technologies

Please send a title and an abstract (5-15 lines) of your talk, with a short (5-10 lines) bio and the expected length of your talks (50 minutes for longer talks, 25 minutes for short talks) to: [email protected]

Final date for submission: August 31, 2011
