How PaaS Impacts enterprise application design and development

In this session Alexandre Vasseur, Staff Systems Engineer at VMware Cloud Application Platform division discusses the current trends in cloud computing, covering especially Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) for both public and enterprise private clouds with a reference at VMware' Cloud Foundry, and focusing on how PaaS impacts enterprise application design and development. He also illustrates how existing applications can be modernized by adopting frameworks, lightweight and open source middleware and virtualization such as made available through the VMware vFabric portfolio to ensure a faster path to PaaS while ensuring openness and choice.
