Dr. Hase is working for Deutsche Bahn since 2002, currently at DB Netz AG in charge of the “European Train Control System” onboard program. Until 2007 he was managing DB’s regional EMU/DMU engineering group. Earlier he used to work for AEG Transportation in Berlin and Pittsburgh, PA, (USA) before he became head of R&D for onboard electronics at Knorr-Bremse, Munich. In 2008 he launched DB’s international openETCS initiative.
