Vittorio Amos Ziparo

Vittorio A. Ziparo, PhD is the owner and director of the R&D Lab at the Italian start-up Algorithmica Srl. Within this role, he is principal investigator and member of the project management board for the Cloud-TM project (www.cloudtm.eu). His research addresses both theoretical and practical aspects of multi-agent systems, including: coordination and cooperation, planning, plan representation and execution, mechanism design, crowdsourcing and multi-robot systems. As a result, Vittorio published more than 20 peer reviewed papers in top international scientific journals and conference proceedings. Moreover, he developed many complex experimental systems that often participated to the main international scientific competition for autonomous robots (RoboCup), were has been world champion in 2006, winning both the Rescue Virtual Robots league and the "Best in Class in Autonomy". In 2008, Vittorio obtained the “Best Robotic Demo Award” at AAMAS, the leading scientific conference on multiagent systems.
