Acceleo to generate Java EE applications
Acceleo is an Open-Source project to generate code. It is based on a pragmatic approach of the Model-Driven Development. Generation code tools allow the automatic production of applications and fit with the agile process. Acceleo can generate the appropriate code, consistent, fast and secure while relieving the developer of some implementation burdens. It allows the translation of business logic models in complete and functional applications. Basically the JavaEE world is an interesting target with Spring and Hibernate frameworks. This presentation will illustrate the modeling of data, services and cinematics layers of an application and the code generation to JavaEE frameworks.
Acceleo integrated the Eclipse Foundation in 2008 and is its code solution. It won the Open Innovation Award during the Open World Forum 2010.
