Andrew Aitken

Andrew Aitken founded Olliance Group in 2001 to provide business and strategy consulting services to companies leveraging open source. Among the pivotal projects Andrew has worked on are developing an ROI model for IBM’s key partners, the open sourcing of Solaris, development of foundational research to help Microsoft begin thinking about open source differently and an ROI analysis for the U.S. Navy which led to the development of the DoD’s Open Source Policy. In 2005 Mr. Aitken Co-Founder the Open Source Think Tank, now a unique event hosted biannually in Napa, CA each Spring and Fall in Paris, France and regularly attended by industry executives from around the globe. He is on the Board of Advisors of: SugarCRM, Actuate, DotNetNuke and Funambol. He has been voted as one of the most influential people in open source, in 2009, by an industry survey of peers.
