Simon Sarazin started as an ICT engineer (Telecom Lille) with his first job in the Caribbean, soon to discover how local communities were able to develop citizen participation to deal with social issues. He then decided to develop IT systems in the shantytowns of Caracas.
Back in France, he started a Master's in Political Sciences in Paris and Lille with a focus on digital projects supporting social cohesion. In october 2010, he joined an international project called Imagination for People (IP) with 7 other team members: IP is a multilingual, Wikipedia-like open platform (free software, CC contents) dedicated to disruptive social innovation or, more broadly defined, to civic creativity. At a global scale, Imagination for People aims to detect, amplify and support creative projects addressing the new challenges of living together.
