Alolita Sharma has been involved with open source since the early days of Linux. As a software engineer, open source expert and entrepreneur, she has actively promoted adoption of open technologies in industry, government and developing economies. She is co-founder and CEO of Technetra, a software consulting group and has over 15 years in the industry. She has held engineering and management positions at IBM, MCI Worldcom, Intelsat and SWIFT. She joined the board of the Open Source Initiative (OSI) in 2007 and currently serves as its Secretary.
