The first roadmap has been launched at the first Open World Forum, in 2008, highlighting influence that Open Source will have on the implementation of tomorrow’s major technological advances. It notably predicted that Open Source applications will represent one of the main avenues for growth in our economies, and singled out 7 predictions and 8 key recommendations. Additional analysis has been released in 2009, reevaluating projections and identifying significant changes. The roadmap is now updated each year by a network of international experts. |
