The goal of the SYSTEMATIC cluster is to give the Ile-de-France visibility at global level for its work in designing, building and administering complex systems. Of the 340 players involved, 80 are large enterprises, and 80% of the affiliated small-to-medium companies and industries are directly involved in the cluster’s projects. Subscribers also include 140 research laboratories, and 15 regional authorities. The cluster has set up its own internal think-tank dedicated to the theme of openness, with the aim of coordinating Open Software players and their projects in the Ile-de-France. This so-called ‘Groupe Thématique Logiciel Libre’ works on R&D subjects that are specific to Open Software, contributes to the structuring and development of open applications, and plays a supportive role in administering the rising tide of innovation currently taking place in the open software arena. Cap Digital is the French cluster of digital content and information technologies. Cap Digital has more than 300 members from both the private and public sectors - large enterprises and 80% of small-to-medium sized businesses on the one hand, and universities, research laboratories, public establishments on the other.
