J. David Ibanez is the technical director (CTO) of Itaapy, the company he founded in 2003 in Paris. A strong advocate of free software, he leads the research department responsible among other projects for the itools library and the ikaaro CMS, both at the core of the Itaapy’s business activity. Graduated as software engineer from the University Jaume I (Spain) in 1999, he has over 10 years of professional experience as a software developer and architect. Once renowned in the Zope community as an expert in internationalization from the development of the Localizer product, his areas of specialization and/or particular interest include today: software development tools and methods, programming languages and paradigms, web technologies and best practices, algorithmics, database systems.
