Philippe Ombredanne is a passionate open source software developer, activist and enthusiast. He is the CTO and co-founder of nexB, a software company dedicated to life-cycle management of open source with tools and services. He is a committer at key open source projects such as Eclipse and JBoss, contributor to several Eclipse and Python-related projects and a member of FOSSBazaar. His primary focus is helping organizations better manage the benefits of open source re-use through governance for internal IT, software and embedded devices development and M&A. Prior to nexB, Philippe has worked at McDonnell Douglas, Accenture and BearingPoint in software development and consulting. His clients include Apple, Checkpoint, Cisco, HP, Informatica, Intel, Oracle, Microsoft, Motorola, NetApp and SAP.
