Dr. Syrine Tlili is the Open Source Software Unit Chief at the Ministry of Communication Technologies of Tunisia. The objectives of the unit are promoting the use of OSS through awareness building events and workshops, strengthening human competencies in the public sector through training and certification programs, taking incentives measure to stimulate private sector investment and innovation in OSS field. Besides, the OSS unit focuses on fostering the usage and the development of OSS in education, academia, and research. Before getting this position, Dr. Syrine Tlili has served as the computer security department chief at the Tunisian Internet Agency. Dr. Syrine Tlili holds an engineer diploma from the National School of Computer Science of Tunisia. She also holds a Ph.D degree in Software Security from Concordia University, Montreal, Canada.
